Scan Again CommentarySadly not on 10.5 nor 10.2.8 using Canon scanner with inbuilt obsolescense - Version: 1.0, 4/10/2008 09:42AM PST

Great to see software like this for those of us who have been stranded by the marketing policies of companies such as Canon who provide no solutions for clients who have not been willing to buy a new scanner each couple of years. Unfortunately this neat package "Scan Again" did not work for me using a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with OS 10.5. Nor did it work on a 400MHz PowerPC G4 with OS 10.2.8. Maybe some day someone will do the Lazerus touch for those of us who have been deserted...;-)

Scan Again ReviewScan Again Really Works ! - Version: 1.0, 2/13/2007 10:43AM PST

I was doubtful that I would ever use my portable Canon Lide 30 scanner again. My absolute favorite scanner that doesn't need power and performs wonderfully in the field. A must for a traveling auditor that scans everything instead of making copies at the client's office.

I don't know what happened, but ever since I upgraded to OSX TIGER, the scanner never worked again. I upgraded all Canon software. No luck. I called or wrote all technical departments. No luck.

I saw "Scan Again" in Version Tracker. Not only does it work well with the software "Scan Again" but it magically appeared in my Photoshop Elements 3 and works well there, too.

Thank you!

Scan Again ReviewGreat Stuff - Version: 1.0, 2/13/2007 05:08AM PST

Downloaded the Version 1.0 package. Followed the instructions on Version Tracker page regarding TWAIN SANE installation before running the package. Scanned to TIFF perfectly, then, to my surprise, the package worked immediately as an Import option in Photoshop. I have an AGFA 1212U which has lousy Classic support under OSX. This Freeware gives better colour matching than I ever got with the AGFA OS9 software. This was all on G4 733 with OS X 10.3.9. Good One!
