same issue - it doesn't function at all on my 10.4.9 PPC machine. shows as 'not responding' in Activity Monitor.

iMac G5 w/ File and iTunes sharing enabled. Widget doesn't seem to do anything, and appears as "not responding" in the Activity Viewer app.

Update: removed and reinstalled and it's working!
