HTMLValidator Developer NoteHTML lowercase tags now fixed in beta 2 - Version: 1.0b3, 3/1/2007 10:16PM PST

AngusHardie
From the developer:

Hi,

Just to keep everyone updated, the bug with lowercase html tags was actually part of a larger problem relating to being unable to read some of the internal application files. Under certain conditions the files couldn't be found and so HTMLValidator didn't know how to process the file, which led to a lot of incorrect validation errors.

This should now be resolved from beta 2 onwards.

I'm very grateful to Mr Poland for his help in fixing this bug.

A neat idea. Appears to be for HTML and not XHTML as it errors all lower case tags.

Anxious to try the next revision.
