Anyone who has ever changed clothes a few times or more in front of the mirror, trying to get that just so fashionable look, knows how stressful and time consuming it can be. Somehow you always seem to get bogged down with this right when you are hurrying to be on time for a special event. Most people don't realize it, but this is the incunabula of the term "fashionably late". And it's a real problem.
It has even been estimated by the Institute of Statistical Analysis that the average person spends approximately 0.86 years of their life engaged in this activity. That's almost an entire year of your entire life wasted just trying on clothes!
Well, now, finally, today, with an inexpensive digital camera anyone can use this software to "virtually" try out their finest combinations in rapid succession. See how you will look right down to the socks, shoes, undies and jewelry, without so much as touching a fabric or repositioning a torso. Imagine all the precious time you can save when you forgo putting your clothes on and taking them off and putting them back on again.
While useful for anyone who cares about their appearance, this is of course particularly useful to clothing-conscious women and their patience-challenged boyfriends or husbands. In fact, I have already purchased this for my wife and several of my occasional girlfriends, and I am using it myself as well. Hopefully therefore, mine is a meaningful endorsement.
Though I do obviously support the program, I would suggest that the developer consider the addition of a variety of user-configurable "skins", as the cutesy illustrations built into the program may not appeal to everyone alike.
Bottom line is the more time we can all spend sitting in front of computers and other electronic devices and artificial technologies, and the less time we waste pacing around aimlessly here and there, and thrashing our limbs about in the "real world" — the faster our species will be forced to evolve towards an inevitable cyber-sapien future.
With the advent of indisputable global warming, climate change and polar melting, anything that increases pressure for our evolution away from expensive, vulnerable, biological, fuel-inefficient body forms, and towards more sustainable and robust technological hybrid life forms — is desirable.
In this light, Dress Assistant OSX is a most welcome development.

I just downloaded this software and have briefly tried it out. So, far it looks pretty cool! Very easy to download, slick design. Looks as though you could use this as a catalog program for other than clothing. (I plan on using it for cataloging fabrics).
I suppose if you had a small resale clothing shop one could use it to catalog items, then customers could use it to create outfits from inventory. Hobbyist could use it to catalog parts, etc.
Anyway, cool program so far. Thanks and if it continues to work as well as it seems I will pay the $20.
