Excellent, easy-to-use version, if a bit small in the centre of the screen, but still very playable. I like the way you can click on a square and the man will move there if he can, without having to wiggle his way round the maze each time. I love it!
First, please add a players list, so different users can play the game, and we can see each other's current levels and scores.
Please consider adding a statistics window so we can see how many moves and pushes we have had to make in order to win a level. The numbers will natually increase as we progress through each level of the game. The window should also show which user has won the current level we are playing in the least amount of moves and pushes.
I miss the shuffling of feet sound as the warehouse man moves around the floor. Your man is silent.
The push sound, my daughter and I agree, is kind of annoying. Would you consider changing it? Maybe a huffing/grunting sound would be more appropriate.
The sound when he makes an illegal move is also rather annoying...too harsh. Perhaps a different sound...like "Ummph!" or "Ah! No go!".
Maybe the guy can even randomly mutter a few things, (decent things), under his breath, while he is working on the floor...Maybe complain about his low wages, or of being hot, or tired, or perhaps make critical jabs at his boss. :)
I know the last recommendation is a departure from the classical Sokoban, but it would certain make the game more interesting.
If you really want to go for it, maybe the warehouse guy can even praise the player when he is doing good, and poke fun at him when the player is doing poorly.
A few real spoken Japanese phrases would also add some oriental flavor to the game.
Thanks for bringing your version of Sokoban to OSX. I hope we see some improvements as your time permits.
