Product Description:

QuickInstaller lets you easily install installer packages by using "drag & drop"; just drop an installer package - or a disk image which contains an installer package - to this Applescript.

Because it calls the command line version of Apple's Installer application which neither requires nor allows any GUI interaction, any EULA screens, ReadMe texts or option dialogues will not be seen. Also, it is not possible to choose an install location different from the startup volume.

You can drop more than one file at once to this Applescript.

Restrictions:
When a disk image is opened and searched for an installer package, installation is currently performed only when that disk images contains exactly one (1) installer package. A future version of this Applescript might handle things less restrictive...

Many issues solved with version 0.95 - Version: 0.93, 1/22/2007 04:18AM PST

Recently, I discovered several issues with the process of mounting disk images and finding install packages, and I released two versions today. I am convinced that version 0.95 will work very fine and robust, but I want to apologize for the irritation this might have caused.

Please get your copy of QuickInstaller 0.95 and let me know when you still encounter unexpected error messages. Even when 0.95 is not listed here yet, the download link does always get you the latest version.

Also, be assured that no data loss or harm could happen with any version of QuickInstaller, the installation process was merely canceled for various but incorrect reasons.
