LauncherX ReviewHarsh on the eyes - Version: 1.40, 4/7/2007 01:09PM PST

One of the beauties of OSX is it's graceful style. LauncherX takes that away and give you a very utilitarian app that is almost completely not customizable.

A far superior product that I wish would goto Universal and get on board with the new chipset is DropDrawers. I've used it for years and would be lost with out it.

LauncherX Troubleshooting ReportTrouble with Category drawer in 1.1 - Version: 1.1, 1/18/2007 06:00AM PST

If you open the category list drawer by clicking the List button, then reposition the window so that some of the drawer is off screen, the drawer closes and the only way to open it again is to relaunch the application. Also, I'd really prefer to be able to turn off the audio feedback without doing it system-wide.

LauncherX ReviewNewer version much improved - Version: 1.1, 1/18/2007 03:55AM PST

This Newer version is much improved and for the price certainly offers a definite alternative or addition to Apple's Dock. Suggestion-- make it default or optional that the Launcher window remain visible in the finder and move to the background when the desired item has been launched. That way navigation via expose is easy between Apps Docs and launcher panes.

Although I will not change to this package I have paid for and enjoy using Brian Hills Launcher 3.0 for years now. My launcher consists of 6 main panes and each pane has about 11 buttons on it Total 66. One could not easily have that many items on one's Dock navigating would be cumbersome. Although one is able to hide the dock. I choose not to, however keep its size very small with about 6 permanent items located horizontally in the lower left corner of my screen. It looks very much like (Control Strip Modules) from classic.
Using the two in concert makes getting around a breeze. Although this only one method and there are lots of variations. This new version now begins to make possible. respectfully submitted. h (dot) toelle (at) cogeco (dot) ca Thank you

Headed in the right direction But needs a lot of work, Documentation is required as this is a different approach than Classic. This version did not function correctly. Suggest developer look at Brian Hills Launcher 3.0 for OSX I have been using it for years now. Good Luck
