Product Description:
PhotoGPSEditor is an easy to use meta-data editor for photo (JPEG, RAW, or Tiff) files, plus it can match data from GPS (gpx or NMEA) files. The program is freeware, however, donatations can be made to help support future development. With PhotoGPSEditor you can add location and summary details to a JPEG, RAW or Tiff files. Location information consists of latitude and longitide data, as well as town, area/region, and country. This can be added automatically by matching up photos with GPS (gpx or NMEA) file track data, manually (just type it in) or 'automatically' by placing a pointer on a map to get the latitude and longitide data. The program can then add town, area/region, and country information. This process can also be described as 'geocoding' a picture/photo.
What's new in this version:
- Added support from RAW images (a big thanks to the users who provided suitable images for testing)
- Added support for NMEA GPS data files
- Corrected a problem with manual updates of 'time offset'
- Fixed a problem where GPS data would be duplicated on import
- Improved the import of gpx data (another big thanks to users who provided gpx files)
- Improved map display memory handling
- Switched 'meta-data' engine from Exiv2 to ExifTool

... if you want to tag photos and you do not have a track. I waited for exactly that. Some features will be added (like drag&drop), ok. then it will be nearly perfect.

After searching and trying lot of different and much more complex programs (I have even bought few of them), I have found this little peace of software, which has done everything what I need. I agree about "load pictures" button. I also have spend about 15 seconds to understand how to upload pictures. But it's really small issue. I would appreciate, if author may add iPhoto support to application - maybe some kind of integration.
Anyway, good small application and really nice price policy as well.
