Product Description:

Magnet is the easiest way to customize your movies and share them with your friends. With advanced motion tracking, the cat's head will follow the same path as in the original movie. Using Magnet, you are able attach a picture or animation to a movie, to define a blur zone, or even to emit particles that follow the moving objects. Using Magnet, you can add special effects such as replacing your own head with a cat head. More generally, you can attach an image to moving objects in a video, or attach animation, particles, or black (or blur) zones. Just let your imagination go, and add glasses, a hat, a mask, tatoo. Blazingly fast GPU-based rendering. Hit play, Magnet renders in real-time, whatever image size. Magnet has an extremely fast rendering engine that combines CPU operations (optimized for Intel Macs) and GPU, or graphics card, power. It enables real-time rendering on mega pixel images still being accurate to sub-pixel. Moreover, the latest version of Magnet even added support for the Core Image library of Mac OS X Tiger for filtering, also executed on the graphics card for maximum performance. Definitely Mac. Magnet is a Mac software from the start. You can import various image formats from any sources, including direct access to your iPhoto and iMovie media. You can even use your iSight, which is bundled with almost every mac nowadays, directly from within Magnet to import a picture or animation. Magnet further leverages your computer power by allowing Quartz Composer effects (Sepia Tone, Crystalize, and your own effects). The rendered animation is in QuickTime format, enabling further composition in Final Cut Pro or iMovie, or even export it to your video iPod!

This hasn't been updated or worked on for 2 years. You really had a good thing going. I really wish you stuck it out and finished it. Maybe you died or something.

So after watching their video on their web site, this is an application that's only half finished.

You can't even record audio, you can't even play audio from an imported movie. What kind of noise is that slim.

So it doesn't even make sense to use this to record with.

You should record a quicktime movie using another app, then extract the audio.

Then run the movie through this half way done app and add the effects. Then render it to your desktop, then copy/paste the audio back in, or add a music .mov file in the same way.

This application has the potential of being really awesome when it's done and if it's done right.

It needs to be able to record the audio, and even be able to add music.

Most of the effects are lame, way lame, and should be trashed and cool ones added. I hope you're paying attention dude, because helping you to improve this application, helps everyone.

This is one of the hardest applications that I've ever tried to understand and work with. When you record a movie, or add a movie, there is no sound, or attempt to add music (which is impossible). I REALLY want this application to work.

I must have misplaced the manual. I hope there is a pdf manual, because it sure needs one, and the help menu doesn't work with the app.
