It says $49 here and on the MAMP website, but when you actually go to purchase it asks for $67.79. Strange...

It looks like some other company either took over the .com website, or is spoofing the product. I found the real MAMP PRO at http://www.mamp.info/en/index.php
What is weird is that both websites have the same name and logo.
So how does Versiontracker go about verifying this information and updating their links?

Clicking the link to the developer's site throw a 404 error. There's no mention of this product on their site at all, save one lone press release from Jan 2007. Is this still even a viable product?

Mamp Pro has changed my process for development and made it much more streamlined - no more back and forth between config files. It's worth the money to anyone that requires a development environment for multiple projects at a time.
Saves me time, which saves me money

I know how to manage config files, but not having to open all the files and making edits each time i want to add a vhost smaes me tons of time. the time i save can be used elsewhere saving me money by allowing me to be more productive.
This is the best product of this kind you will find on any environment. Windows and Linux and Mac, no one does it like MAMP PRO

Great interface, and pretty easy to configure. For a beginner like myself, I'll give it a 5 star.
Best web-dev tool

I use MAMP since it's first release and moved now to the Pro version. It is very easy to install and provides everything you need to develop web applications. MAMP Pro is worth the money.
Very usefull program

If you work on just one site then the free MAMP is probably the best option, however if you work on a number of different sites concurrently then the simple virtual host setup in the Pro version is definitely worth the money.
Recommended.
