Product Description:

Boomerang Data Recovery is a brand new product that recovers lost files, folders, paritions and more from virtually any media. Boomerang will recover deleted files, hard drives with corrupt file systems, deleted partitions, formatted drives, and much more. Boomerang supports media such as hard drives, RAID volumes, flash disks, camera cards, microdrives, usb & firewire drives and much more.

Boomerang was designed exclusively with the Mac user in mind and makes it simple to recover data quickly. Features such as spotlight like searching and Mac OS finder style file selection make it familiar to use without even looking at a manual.

Boomerang has been tested in several data recovery labs through-out the US and Canada with great success. Boomerang is a non-destructive data recovery engine. It will not repair a file system, as this is risky to users and can cause further data loss. Boomerang shows the files it finds before purchase.

Boomerang Data Recovery ReviewI too feel like I have been Ripped Off! - Version: 2.0.10, 2/10/2009 08:32AM PST

manwi
The have banned my "Lifetime" serial like others here without a detailed explanation. I believe I only used this program twice. I can't even remember the last time I used it. I have sent in two Help Desk request to reverse the ban or a detailed explanation of the ban. However, both my tickets have go unanswered. I have a feeling they are trying to squeeze more money out of me and there new pricing scheme is rather expensive.

Boomerang Data Recovery ReviewOne of the best data recovery apps available for the Mac platform! - Version: 2.0.10, 11/7/2008 06:50PM PST

slobug
When Boomerang v1 came out, it was pretty good but seemed to lack features. It did a good job with recovery but it was too simplistic. The new version 2.0 is incredible. It has a very intuitave interface with 5 or 6 recovery "types" you can pick between iPod, RAID, hard drive, photos and several other types of recoveries.

The photo recovery is REALLY neat because it shows you the photos instead of worthless filenames. (Just like iPhoto), go figure.

I love to play with this program just to see what is hidden on hard drives of random computers. It's amazing it can find all that stuff. I just noticed it sees and can recover my BOOT CAMP disk as well, sweet!!!! It recovers deleted files from Windows volumes.. wow.

I guess the only thing may be the pay-per-use pricing that the product uses. You can pay as little as $39 (good) but the unlimited "pro" version is upwards of $300+. I guess if you need data recovery all the time, then it might be worth it for you... (if you lose data all the time, you probably deserve to pay.. heh.. just kidding.. but seriously?).. If I lost that much data, I'd probably pay the high price, but it is high especially in these times... sigh

Some of the other reviews of this product are not justified. They either didn't really need to recover something or they didn't try the other crappy apps that are available for the mac, because they really suck. This app is a worth contender and if you truly need to recover something, I'd recommend it highly.

Boomerang Data Recovery ReviewScamware pricing - Version: 2.0.9, 11/5/2008 04:08PM PST

This product is completely useless , unless you are permanently connected to the internet this product can't recover anything, which makes it useless when you need to boot from an alternative disk or DVD.

I wouldn't recommend this program if it was for FREE.

Don't waste your money, run don't walk away from this scam.
