I've been using InstantShot! for about 1.5 years and it has become my favorite screenshot tool. I don't even use the other ones i've downloaded anymore. Just too convenient to use from the menubar.

After two separate downloads, the DMG file is not recognized for mounting. downloads of click, desktopcurtain, backdrip,dvdcapture all went well. Using 10.5.7 on a 3 months old imac, fully updated.
Still Like FreeSnap Better

I've used FreeSnap since it was created. It still works fine OSX Leopard. You can still save in a multitude of formats, you can select where you want your screenshot saved. InstantShot is a pretty good start. I'll stay with FreeSnap!

I've never gave comments here before but this software made me do it. I just switched completely to MAC OS X so i had to find a screen capture software once again. I have downloaded and downloaded and tried other software from this site. And by far InstantShot is the simplest and easiest to use. You don't have to select the software to capture screen, this software just sit at your menu bar without interfering Windows you are working on. Just press hot keys wherever you are and That's it! and it's FREE!

This program has a nice combination of customization and simplicity of features! I was a Freesnap user, and I've been trying all sorts of screencap tools to replace it. They all have other priorities, like resizing or uploading via FTP. This program does one thing really well. Also, since it launched a few months ago, the developer has really listened to suggestions for improvements, like adding shortcut keys for actions.

Wow, some of this feedback is really negative. I haven't had any problems with this (it is now on Version 2.3). It offers a host of features beyond Grab, including viable hotkey options. The last program I found that did any of what InstantShot does was FreeSnap, but that appears to be out of development. This is a welcome replacement.

after a few tries, I began recieving "Error saving the screenshot" messages...
Application has never worked again ...what's up with that?
