There's a new version (1.1.1) that can self-update and is internationalized for french, german and italian. VT seem to be taking a long time (4 days so far) to update this page, so you can get it at the futsoft page: http://www.futility.co.uk/futsoft/podup.html
No problems here

After reading some of the comments I was prepared to be disappointed; however, the program ended working exactly as advertised with my 80 GB iPod Classic (purchased in 2007).
Empty Folders - Version: 1.0.0, 1/14/2008 12:22AM PST

I used the software to copy my iPod onto an external hard drive. The result was empty folders for every artist, and a list of folders from A-Z which held random .mp3 files. I noticed on the application window that it said that there were 5,000 some odd errors. Total size of files copied was around 9GB out of 28GB on the iPod. I'm going to wipe out the old files and try again, but this time I'll create a folder on the hard drive and copy into the folder instead of directly onto the hard drive. Don't know if that will make a difference...
