Product Description:

Zipeg is free decompression utility for Mac OS X and Windows. Zipeg allows to open and explore content of zip, rar, arj and other archives, preview files and images before you extract/unzip them. Extract only the files you want. Zip thru photo-archives. Zipeg allows you to decide what do you want to extract. You can choose what to extract and where to put extracted files or just drag and drop them. This is safer (browse before extract) and more intelligent way of zip archives handling. Free alternative to StuffIt. Build on top of 7zip engine. `WinZip`-like UI for Macintosh users.

I agree with the previous comments: this is the kind of utility you can't do without as soon as you start using it!
It's not mentioned, but it launches even by dragging the archive on the application's icon, an alias, or even the icon on the dock, or a 'DragThing' dock.

Zipeg ReviewIt is good to have the same unzipper on both Mac and Windows - Version: 1.3.0.567, 8/19/2007 02:14AM PST

It is not as powerful as WinZip, StuffIt, WinRar or BetterZip. But it is free and it handles extremely large archives in a very fast way. Simple. Sometimes less is more.
