Microsoft Silverlight CommentaryFlip4Mac installs Silverlight - Version: 4.0 beta, 11/18/2009 06:37PM PST

Superstitious
Many Mac users are going to end up with Silverlight because of the clever packaging with Flip4Mac. As far as I can tell, a user has to do a custom install to install Flip4Mac without it.

I empathize with many of the comments here which ask why we need yet another conduit for annoying animated ads. However, how often has the public resisted a "free" Microsoft product?

This is a pitiful attempt to gain ground on Adobe's Flash. Even with Microsoft's deep pockets, the have attained little success.

I apologize because this is a no-experience commentary. I just got this new MacPro and I've been throwing a lot of things at it but I see no use in wasting my time with this- like another commented; "I'll stick with Flash and HTML..."
