SafariDepot ReviewMisses the boat - Version: 0.2.1, 2/6/2007 07:09AM PST

While freeware authors are to be congratulated for their generosity, I think this author missed an opportunity. _Synchronizing_ is one thing. But what would be really helpful is _merging_. I have two machines, each with different bookmarks. I would love to merge them into one. I know how to do it manually but what a pain.

On the other hand, syncing, as this tool claims to do, is also possible manually and a far easier task. If I really wanted to do it, I would just drag-and-drop.

Perhaps the author would care to re-think and I would even pay for a merge feature addition.

SafariDepot Troubleshooting ReportNice idea, but couldn't get it to work - Version: 0.1, 11/21/2006 11:12AM PST

When I try to upload my Safari bookmarks, an error message says:

Error:
curl: (6) Couldn't resolve host 'ftp.<myhost>.com<first part of path>'

i.e. 'ftp.apple.comipod' as a generic example. In other words, it's sticking the first directory in the path onto the end of the server name, and failing.
