Xslimmer reduces the disk space taken up by Mac OS X applications removing localizations you don't need, and preserving just the Intel or PowerPC version of the code in Universal Binaries.

Xslimmer is a new, user-friendly way to size down your Mac OS X apps, removing the code inside the Universal Binaries that does not fit with your machine's architecture, and deleting the localizations you don't need.
This is done in a safely way backing up your apps before slimming, downloading a "blacklist" of apps that check themselves, or allowing you to exclude any application, folder or path.

What's new in this version:

Xslimmer 1.2.4 adds a visual indication for applications where additional information is available, which allows you to review all details before proceeding to slim your apps. In addition, many localizations have been improved and a new one (Swedish) has been added.

New features

Detailed app information. A visual warning sign is displayed on top of the icons of applications where additional information is available. For example, some applications with access to the Keychain have to be reauthorized: this fact, if available, is made known to the user in advance. This new feature complements the ability to display detailed information that was released in the previous version of Xslimmer, and is another step to provide the user confidence on the actions performed to be performed.

Localizations

Swedish: new localization!. Thanks a lot, Joakim!
Japanese, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch: updated localizations. New strings (including software update messages) translated.

This would suddenly become more worth buying if it would identify non-universal binaries & refuse to strip them of code (specifically, XSlimmer can't say 'oops, this is only PPC code, better NOT strip the PPC code from this file!, or User won't be able to run it at all'.

Allowing to the user to brute-force it is tolerable, but more in line w/ freeware than payware.
