I just learned to play this game a couple of weeks ago and was delighted to find a computer version. It is addictive and I love it. The price is right and the customer service is excellent.

If you have played Pocket Farkle you will like this game--it's a great version. Development is excellent, allowing you to adapt the game to your rules, or change speed, and the author is available if you have questions about the game. Great directions. Highly recommended. We love it and think the price is appropriate.

I couldn't believe it when I found Farkle of all things. I grew up playing but rarely do I meet anyone who plays but they all love it when I show them. I was tickled when I found it. Fun. Fun. Fun.
To the guy who commented on price... If you buy more than one thing from David (which I did, the backgammon is great) I got a deal. You never know what you will get until you ask.

As a freeware package or a programming exercise this is a fine program, but it just lacks a lot of qualities I'd expect in a $20 shareware program. Play is a bit slow, graphics are adequate at best, and perhaps most important, it just doesn't feel very "Mac-like". It reminds me of the programs I used to make back in high school - not a "ready for prime time" program worth $20.

I've played Farkle with long-time friends for decades! You can imagine my surprise when I saw Dave's (Dave's Backgammon) electronic version posted in Versiontracker. I downloaded it immediately and playing the demo just once I knew this was a must-have. I sent along the $20 shareware fee via snailmail (You can pay w/ PayPal at the Farkle site) and contacted Dave regarding payment, and immediately got an email back from Dave with some info and tips. I quickly got an email follow-up with the code when my payment arrived.
About the game... Fun, true to the original, easy to play and addictive. Very easy to use and change in the preferences. You can play against the computer or another person which is great also. I highly recommend this game if you like dice games.

I've tried farkle on my pc and when it packed it in, searched for farkle for mac- This is what i got! Its not as polished as the other version, but still is farkle and still is addictive! you still promise yourself 'just one more game' and find yourself hours later still farkle-ing away! the edge over the competitors is that the dice arent picked out for you, so it doesnt feel like youre cheating! Love farkle and so will you!
