CoolBook ReviewGood product, excellent support - Version: 2.9, 8/10/2008 12:21PM PST

Hervé
I was first a bit hesitant because I plan to upgrade my MacBook Pro in a couple of months and was not happy with the licensing policy. Nevertheless, I understand that the developer may want to protect his software, and that a more sophisticated licensing policy (e.g. possible de-activation like iTunes allows) would make the software more expensive. Still hesitant? Think how often you upgrade your computer...
Moreover, the price is so low, and reports so good that I decided to buy it. And even if I have to pay again $10 when I upgrade my computer I won't regret my decision.
First because the results are excellent: my MBP runs cooler, and more important to me it now runs at the highest frequency even with no battery when on AC, instead of being stuck at 1 GHz like Apple decided it should be. From my experience keeping batteries away from the heat generated by the laptop when used on AC, has a great influence on aging: after 4 years, my Powerbook battery still has 80% of its original capacity. See http://www.batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm for more information.
Second because the developer is extremely helpful and responsive. All my newbie questions have been answered the same day, in a detailed manner.

You should be aware that the author of the program insists on a strict "one machine" license, you will only be able to use this with one computer. If you upgrade, you will have to pay again. Stupid policy? Up to you...

"The license is for one computer only."

>Sorry for the pun<
But it works --
Really is essential for MBA.

Be aware that if you go too low on the voltages the computer will get flakey (mine would just shut down).

Adds > 1hr to battery Life!!
