I gave this game a go, and I have to say it isn't really my type of game. Reading through the negative comments here, I've found myself nodding to most of them. I just don't find it fun.
What disturbs me is the way players are clearly encouraged to promote and rate the game highly on versiontracker (example at: http://www.arindal.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=24126#p24126). The creators of this game should realise that if the game isn't appealing to people, maybe it isn't any good.
Tricking people in to playing the game in the hopes they'll like it backfires when people like me play it, hate it, and give it a low rating.
Also, the Arindal website indicates the game should be classed as "commercial" or "demo" rather than "shareware". I am fairly sure that a monthly subscription game cannot be shareware.

Just try it...

... you will love this game! Don't get scared by it's graphics, it is made with love and has a very complex, social gameplay that won't get boring!

But, it IS an RPG. I now get to play the character of Irate Customer, and my Quest is to root around my hard drive and try to find all the junk this installed so I can delete it, though most of it seems to be installed in the Arindal folder itself... Yippie.
