Product Description:
Riveal is a free Java application that extracts sounds, movies, and pictures from the data files of most games in the Myst series:
As a bonus, Riveal also extracts sounds, movies, and pictures from a few other games, including the Mac version of The Manhole CD-ROM Masterpiece Edition, an enhanced remake of one of Cyan's pre-Myst games, and some of the games in Presto's pre-Exile series, the Journeyman Project trilogy. Riveal supports the Mac version of The Journeyman Project Turbo!, an improved rerelease of the first game in the trilogy, the Mac version of The Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time, and the Mac and Windows versions of The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time.

Riveal does a great job of extracting all of the sounds, etc. It's a real timesaver.
Note: Most of the original RIVEN was semi-photorealistic
Now the Myst and Riven 2 games have a "cartoon-ish" unreal, look
Forget that sh*t
Plus what idiot at UBISOFT gave the context of Riven 2 RIVEN 2 THE REVENGE?
Not only was RIVEN about mystery, but there were no moron oriented plots
Revenge was not a concept in RIVEN
mostly the exploration of an strange, beauttiful alien world, with few people as possible
Take the original files and improve them with the latest code
IF ya cant hack it, UBISOFT-then hand ot off to the creators on commission or to someone capable-sinc y ou are not.
