InPreflight is a comprehensive quality control and file packaging solution for Adobe InDesign. It quickly gathers extensive information about document fonts, colors and links and lets you instantly locate potential problems according to user-defined settings. InPreflight saves you hours of checking your documents manually and dealing with consequences of costly mistakes.
InPreflight includes a powerful packaging engine which allows you to preflight and package multiple documents. It can collect all files into one folder, eliminating the need to collect the same links multiple times for each design. I am sent a 60 page document each month to review before it goes to the printer. It is my task to make sure it is 100% print ready with no errors. Checking 60 pages worth of images for resultion, color mode etc with Adobe's built-in preflight is maddeningly slow to the point it is useless for me. This is soooo much faster and better than the built-in preflight. Many thanks to the developers... it was worth every penny and worked the second I installed it with no problems. It has saved my sanity and hours of work.
so now I use to all the time, as it is insurance to that you are supplying a file that wont come back and bite you. It is easy to forget when the pressure is on... this saves my butt.
