Yup, it's true folks. Don't bother trying Man Viewer 3.0.x in Mac OS X 10.4.x Tiger: Bomb, Bomb, Bomb.

The previous version works fine in Tiger.

Ancient_Boii_Tribe, heaven forefend you should learn something checking out new software on Version Tracker. The description on the Version Tracker main page usually clues me it to whether I would be interested in looking at a listed item in more detail. It's not like there is a clearly defined line between geeks and non-geeks that could be reliably used to segregate software. In any case, it's not Version Tracker or the software developers' job to decide which you are. Only you can make that determination - and only you can decide what does and does not interest you.

Man Viewer Developer NoteReason for download - Version: 1.0, 10/13/2006 12:10PM PST

I decided against using the offline man pages as I wanted to include all the standard pages that also comes with Mac OS X Server. So if you only had the client (most of us), you wouldn't be able to see the Mac OS X Server man pages.
As for the downloading/parsing stalling, that isn't sopose to happen.
Either way, I am open for opinions. Would you guys want the next version to just read your offline man pages?
