Product Description:
A kind of three column layout: navigation - content - sidebar. The gothic theme comes with preexisting background images to enrich your site. But it is also very easy to include your own images: you can use the included image admin utility to place the images you like. Also as they are png images that also work in IE/Win, you can combine the images with many different background colors. A very flexible theme centering around this three part layout idea, which also gave the name to it: gothic.
What's new in this version:
- Add your own custom sidebar and navbar background images (up to 5)
- Add your own custom pageHeader and body background image
- Define where you want your body image be placed and how it is repeated
- 12 different Layouts to choose from (6 fixed widths and 6 with variable widths)
- Add nice borders with different widths (1px, 2px, 4px, 8px) in a custom color
- Disable the sidebar if you don't need it
- Let a nice border and background be drawn automatically on the photoalbum thumbnails (if you want to)
- Choose between 3 overall font sizes
- Navbar Text Align: Left/Right
- Added Custom Colors for the navbar items (including active, hover states)
- Added switches for several layout container transparencies to let the body background

I'm going to end up using Rapid Weaver just because of this theme. I need something quick but I pretty much hate the themes that developers make available for this type of app. Most are ugly and boring, and if you only look at the first option for this one, you'll think it's ugly, too. If you dig a little deeper, though, there are some really pretty (yes, pretty-- women build websites, too, and some of us are over 16, so remember that when you design your templates) graphics and color schemes included, plus the theme is easy to customize. I was actually able to come up with something I could live with, which is a first for me.

Gothic is one of the classic 3rd party RW themes, and one of the handful that don't look like a typical RW theme. Whatever the name, this one is highly variable, and makes a great foundation for an attractive creative site.
