Might need password, but don' use clear text! - Version: 2.1, 10/28/2007 04:39PM PST

Facebook applications (including this widget) often need to access your account. I don't know the technical aspects of interacting with Facebook, but I do know this - no program should ever send passwords in clear text. The developer should disclose that your password is sent to his servers (and explain why that needs to happen), but shouldn't even bother making this application without encrypting the connection. Sending passwords in clear text is a horrible idea, considering how often people are accessing the Internet through open wireless points, etc.

wow this guy is clever...the application will send your email address and Facebook login password in clear text to the developer's server!
i'm amazed at how many people are using this app without any concern about this, as well as the fact that it's even listed on Apple's Downloads section.

WARNING: This widget sends your facebook username and password (unencrypted) to a non-facebook website. No thanks...
