MyPopBarrier Troubleshooting ReportTime, date? - Version: 2.6.6, 10/19/2009 07:26PM PST

There is a problem with the time and date given in the listing. All of them read "1/1/00" and "12:00PM". Performing and opt. + click on each mail shows the correct date within the header block.

MyPopBarrier ReviewUsed to use it... but Mail also does this - Version: 2.6.0, 6/29/2009 12:00PM PST

From the mail Mail window, on the bottom left screen, select the star drop down and "get account info." You can select (also CMD-select for non-contiguous items) mail on the sever and remove it from the server.

Works on PPC and Intel machines.

This application fills a very important gap. That to my knowledge exists in no other current app for the Intel Macs. I started getting no-stop messages from one user on one of my POP accounts I was checking on my iPhone. I'd delete 25, then 25 would take its place - all the same spam message. Even though my Mac is at home and on and set to delete from the server, these messages w/ their corrupt headers were persistent on the server. With MyPopBarrier, I was able to see that in one day, over 3000 of these identical messages were sent to my POP account. I was able to purge them and free my phone to receive real e-mails.

I've also used this to login to my mom's Earthlink account to help her out. She's on dial-up and sometimes her friends send her these giant messages and they get stuck on the server and she can no longer get new mail. I use MyPopBarrier to login, purge the offending file and then she's able to check her mail like before.

MyPopBarrier ReviewSeems to be running faster - Version: 2.4.9, 9/26/2008 03:57PM PST

This is an indispensable program for me as I need to clear mail from several servers regularly. It always ran a bit slowly but I didn't mind as I was more interested in getting unwanted mail deleted. Maybe I am imagining it, but the latest version seems to be running much faster than earlier ones. Thanks to the developer - this is a very useful program.

Good to see another way of purging e-mails from server (POPmonitor seems to have frozen development!) when those bursts of spam arrive and flood the mailbox! Grrr!

As explained below, you can delete individual e-mails, and it seems - subjectively and unscientifically tested, hence 'seems' - faster than POPmonitor ...

But I'd love to be able to select multiple e-mails to mark them all for deletion simultaneously .... s'il vous plait, Tom?

Merci pour ce petit logiciel utile ...et libre! ;o)

MyPopBarrier Reviewvery helpfull but needs some work - Version: 2.4.4, 11/14/2007 12:41PM PST

was waiting for a software like this for several years now basically since POP monitor was discontinued.

I tried POPBarrier as its an easy way to delete my accumulated emails however the only problem I see is that you can't select individual email to delete or not to delete your only chance ins to delete all or nothing however I would like to always keep my last 30-40 emails on the server.

This makes it unfortunately useless for me at the moment but would be great if developer could implement this. Good effort and FREE so please keep on the good work

Effectively rvaessen is right.
Another way I use MyPopBarrier is when I want to leave "good" email on my server and removed "bad" emails (spam or email I don't need to keep). For example when I am on holiday and read email on my LapTop and want to dowload them on my Desktop. I don't have to sort 3 hundreds emails.

MyPopBarrier needs power but I can use it with my old PowerBook G3 500 MHz :-) . Try to download less lines (Tab Filters). Maybe the way I replace code (=B8 etc.) by characters is not the best but I don't know how to do better (faster).
