Product Description:
"Name Search Companion" lets you search by name in the current Finder window. Searches can include wildcards. Teach an old dog new tricks! Name Search Companion is a work in progress. Please provide feedback, and please, please read the included ReadMe! For best results, please follow the install instructions included in the ReadMe - an automated installer is not provided at this time.
What's new in this version:
- Added preferences window with settings for the results window view style, application behavior and advanced search options
- Fixed bug in handling quotes, apostrophes and backquotes in the Search Within folder name
- Now allows selection of multiple folders in the "Select..." folder selection dialogue (use the Command/Apple keys to select multiple folders)
- Much improved ReadMe file

My previous post was about another freeware app (Rebuild Spotlight Index) that I had to use to fix my Spotlight Index that was very incomplete, who knows why ! Now I can fully take advantage of Name Search Companion.
Name Search Companion has the feeling of the Mac OS Search function before Spotlight but uses Spotlight strenght! It is as little slow to open though. But still wonderful! Thanks!

This little app saved my Spotlight Index. Spotlight now can accessto hundred of files it did not before! Just incredible! And so simple! Thanks.
For me it does the job.
I will be donating for the improvement of this application.
