Product Description:

Aqua4iTunes replaces the default iTunes GUI with a more standard looking aqua interface like iTunes 6.

Now includes graphite resources and UNO style windows.

The scrollbar docking bug has been fixed.

10.3.9 support is broken in this version but will be fixed for v2.0 beta 2.

To use with UNO, please install UNO first, then Aqua4iTunes.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixed scroll bars not seating when arrows are placed either side of the scroll-bar
  • Refined interface
  • Added graphite resources
  • Added aqua unified toolbar look (UNO style) resources
  • Background to the bar at the bottom of Podcasts and Partyshuffle is now a slight grey gradient which seems to work fine. For now.
  • Fixed a problem where partyshuffle hilight colors were the wrong way round
  • Fixed graphical glitch in the horizontal double scroll-bar arrows
  • Fixed wrong down arrow being displayed when arrows are displayed either side of the scroll-bar
  • Program now authenticates and can be run from a standard account
  • Fixed problem where privileges were not being set correctly on iTunes.rsrc
  • If installation of the new resource fails, the program now tries to automatically reinstate the back up
  • An error message is now displayed if the program can't close iTunes
  • Improved error trapping
  • Uninstaller code has been rewritten and should be more robust
  • Some other minor internal code improvements
  • Updated documentation and fixed some errors
  • Name consistently changed to Aqua4iTunes to save some confusion with another product

Aqua4iTunes CommentaryDoes this version still work with iTunes 7.7? - Version: 3.5.0, 7/28/2008 08:35AM PST

I know on previous versions of Aqua4iTunes that with every major new release of iTunes, that A4iT needed to be updated as well.

Does this still work with iTunes 7.7 or even iTunes 7.6? I'm hesitant to install this without any feedback from the developer/users. Thanks.

Aqua4iTunes Troubleshooting Reportafter installing, iTunes unable to open - Version: 3.5.0b, 12/27/2007 09:11AM PST

Haven't had any luck with the last few versions of this utility- and I shocked myself in willing to give it a go this time, but I figured the library corruption problem had been solved, and it apparently has, but this time, after install, iTunes dropped dead after declaring 'not enough memory'. Uninstalled, all is good again- iTunes loads and opens, and the Library appears intact.
