DiskLibrary CommentaryDeveloper note - Version: 1.9, 1/30/2009 12:38PM PST

Obvious Matter
This is a note from the developer of DiskLibrary. There have been some performance issues with searching within DiskLibrary (mainly on Mac OS X 10.4). This should have been resolved by version 1.9.

Version 1.9 also adds Quick Look support from within DiskLibrary for Mac OS X 10.5 clients.

Thanks,

Diederik Hoogenboom

I trie FLV, WMV, and SWF files and they all still failed.

I have Perian and QuickTime can play all of my files.
Maybe they need to write the program to use QuickTime?

It just doesn't work.

I liked this app, and chose it because of the interface and Mac "feel." I thought the $39 was steep, but figured it was probably worth it.

Big mistake. It is a sloth, both for importing CDs/DVDs AND searching.

Another negative... it choked when exporting catalogs, and I only had 15 CDs indexed.

Tried it on my both PPC and intel Macs running Leopard 10.5.2

DiskCatalogMaker RE that ships free with current version of Toast does a much better and faster job of indexing, and the search engine is far superior.

I am prompted to write this very accurate review, because the developer would not answer my emails requesting help.
