If you're one who uses shareware without paying the fee, don't install version 1.5.8 over what you're using now. You can't just click off the nag screen...this version stops functioning after 30 days.

MiniBatteryLogger ReviewExtremely Functional and Valuable Notebook Utility - Version: 1.4, 10/10/2006 08:41AM PST

This is definitely the easiest-to-use, simplest-to-understand and prettiest-to-look-at notebook battery monitoring tool I've ever had the opportunity to use.

Its display assists in understanding and tracking the health and vitality of a notebook computer and recently helped me troubleshoot an issue I was having with the sleep mode of my MacBook Pro. With the recent addition of a session-saver it's an invaluable tool on my portable machine.

The developer is particularly response and helpful.

MiniBatteryLogger Usage TipLooks nice but - Version: 1.3.1, 10/4/2006 09:05AM PST

it doesn't work with my G3 Firewire PowerBook. I know I'm behind the times but it's not necessarily because I'm on an older system. Other battery monitors seem to do just fine. It's interesting to note that is seems to be able to monitor the battery if it is in the right hand slot (where the CD drive is) but not the left and not if there are two batteries installed.

MiniBatteryLogger ReviewMiniBatteryLogger looks good! - Version: 1.1.5, 9/10/2006 06:05AM PST

I tried this sahreware product on my MBP 2.0GHz/1GB and it works quite well. I sent the author and copy here my two suggestions for future use (also note that the prefs don't appear to work in the pre-registration version). These may already work in the registered version but I can't tell.
1. color the left and right idices of the graph to match the color coding of the two graph lines. Current in Amps is purple by default, and voltage is green.
2. Monitor MBP case temperature (I believe this data is available from the machine), either as a separate function or as a separate (future) product. The case temp varies considerably while in use. My MBP can get too hot for a lap at times. It'd be nice to know what the temp is when you have it on the desk.
