SyncTwoFolders ReviewDoes not work with Snow Leopard 10.6.2 - Version: 1.5.3, 11/24/2009 12:16PM PST

Woddworker
I downloaded the app despite the negative reviews just to give it a shot and it crashes (becomes unresponsive) immediately after launch. I have to force quit to get it to close. Don't waste your time with this version if you are using Snow Leopard.

SyncTwoFolders ReviewStay AWAY! - Version: 1.5.1, 11/5/2009 08:09AM PST

Buggy as Hell! I just lost several hours of work when I used SyncTwoFolders for protection from accidental loss. It not only created damaged, unopenable copies on the other disk, but managed to corrupt the original files as well, rendering them unopenable. Thank you very much for the freebie

SyncTwoFolders ReviewGeneral Feedback - Version: 1.4.5, 9/5/2009 03:23PM PST

I'll piggy back on with the rest of the users who've had positive experiences with this software. I have found it very easy to use. I use it in tandem with TrueCrypt and back up my critical documents onto a key fob. The key fob travels with me. This tool keeps them synchronized (I do it weekly) --> no problems at all.

SyncTwoFolders CommentaryGreat freebie and great support - Version: 1.4.0, 6/18/2009 03:34AM PST

I've been using SyncTwoFolders for over a year now, and the only trouble I've ever had (the app would screech to a halt in Library>Prefs>Macromedia because there were too many layers of subfolders) was addressed with the 1.4.0 update — which the developer fixed within a day based on my personal report of the problem.

Free AND that kind of product support? What's not to love?

SyncTwoFolders ReviewRuns like Clockwork - Version: 1.4.0, 6/17/2009 03:41PM PST

I use the Intel version so I have no issues with its development on other platforms, but this program, once set up, runs beautifully for me. I have two very complicated folders to synch and it does it with no fuss and as far as I can see 100% accuracy, limiting itself only to changed files. If you are a first time user, then test carefully for the results you want. Once you are satisfied with that, you should have no problems.

SyncTwoFolders Troubleshooting Reportcannot open because the program "is not supported on this system" - Version: 1.3.2, 1/19/2009 12:06PM PST

Downloaded 1.3.2, upgrading from 1.2.9, and when I tried to launch it, I get the following error:

"You cannot open the application 'SyncTwoFolders' because it is not supported on this system."

I'm running 10.4.11, and this VersionTracker page says that system is supported.

The developer's site is sorely lacking in information about system requirements (or anything much beyond a one-sentence description of what the app does and an FAQ) or any information for contacting the developer, so I don't know if something is wrong with the program or if there's incorrect information the VersionTracker page.

I guess I'll go back to 1.2.9 until something is posted here.

SyncTwoFolders CommentaryPPC version forgotten (from developper) - Version: 1.3.1, 1/4/2009 09:47AM PST

Sorry, as I moved the PPC version on my second website I forgot it. It's ok now.
Note for those who downloaded the INTEL version before this review that I re-uploaded the INTEL version too (I did a very minor change without change version number).

And happy new year ! :-)

SyncTwoFolders Troubleshooting ReportConfused! - Version: 1.3.1, 1/3/2009 03:49AM PST

I tried to sync 2 itunes folders - source on an imac, target on a hard disc. The folders were only a few days apart with a handful of newer files on the source. I expected that the new files would be added and any others be updated as required. SyncTwoFolders began copying every single file from the source to the target and would have taken forever to do so with 1000s of files. I could simply have copied the entire source folder to the hard disc and much quicker. Yes? But surely I must either be doing something wrong or have misunderstood what the application does. Can anyone enlighten? Thanks.

SyncTwoFolders CommentaryVery helpful... - Version: 1.2.9, 10/23/2008 09:07AM PST

Very nice piece of Software. Easy tuo use and reliable. The only add-on I would love is an option to choose from different file-sets, I regularly update between the Macs here (private workstation, private mobile Mac, public workgroup server)
Merci bien, anyway!
