I am finding this useful on my new iMac since it allows me to backup the Mail folder to an external drive and that part seems to work well, except that when I come back to the computer I find the viewer window has disappeared from sight and there is no way to get it back without force quitting the app and starting again.

This utility could be more useful with the ability to selectively restore from the backups or at least some instructions in the documentation how to do it manually.

Very good, it does what promises. Only, it seems not to quit mail during back-ups, as said here. Some issues: it uses a large amount of CPU to perform its action, and it does not uses the folder I chose to contain the back-ups, but the folder in which that folder is, since it is a sub-folder.
