TubeSock ReviewCustomer service? What customer service? - Version: 2.0.3, 7/2/2008 09:40PM PST

I bought Tubesock after trying the sample version. It worked on the first two videos I downloaded. But a few days later, it didn't work and the other videos (which had worked) no longer did. When I say, "didn't work" I mean there was audio but no video. Now, all that is bad but what is worse is their so-called "support." I got a message back with a link to a webpage with my question on it and that was it. Multiple requests for help have been ignored.

I highly recommend *not* spending money on this product, mostly due to the bad faith they have shown but also because there is a site that will download videos from YouTube and other video sites called KeepVid.com that is free.

http://keepvid.com/

As for a review of Tubesock, it seemed to be set up to work fine when it did but since I only was able to get it to work on two videos before it crapped out and even they no longer worked, I guess I don't have much positive to say about it. But a product review also includes discussion of other aspects of the product, such as support. On that count they are awful.

TubeSock ReviewI bought Tubesock back in December 2006. It worked fine, now only captures audio. - Version: 2.0.3, 4/30/2008 01:14PM PST

Perhaps YouTube caught on and figured out a way to block video from being captured. Either way, what was once a good product is no more.

Phew
It doesn't work and they ignore support questions. No way to get a refund, they took my money and ran. Audio only, no video from YouTube videos. SCAM.
