MultiDash ReviewKeeps loosing my settings - Version: 3.0, 10/7/2006 08:03AM PST

I too have tried MultiDash 3.0 and found it next to useless. Over and over, I keep having to reload the widgets in a dock. It either forgets what I asked for or changes them to something else. It often returns to an old (possibly first) setting of a dash board.

Like the idea of collecting categories of widgets but this should be much better by Version 3.0

Looking for something else

MultiDash ReviewGood Idea, Frustrating Widget. - Version: 3.0, 9/13/2006 08:04AM PST

MultiDash wanted to connect to the internet, as many widgets do, and I refused the connection using Little Snitch (as I do with any app that doesn't have an obvious need to connect.)

As was mentioned by someone else, switching between Dashboard workspaces is not the smooth operation one would like. I might have been able to overlook that inconvienence, but, like another poster, I spent a half an hour setting up virtual dashboards, only to find that none of my dashboards were remembered by MultiDash. MultiDash got my hopes up, wasted my time, and gave me nothing. MultiDash is in the trash.

MultiDash ReviewAnd another thing... - Version: 3.0, 9/5/2006 01:52AM PST

If you change the config of your dashboard and don't save it to MultiDash, if you switch dashboards, your new config is gone.

I just spent 20 minutes getting my dashboard back the way I want it because I switched to another Multidash, and it dumped my layout.

Have now thrown away the widget. Not worth the hassles.
