I found that once I downloaded the .tar file and extracted what appeared to be the installer file, it wouldn't open. I got this error message "Operation could not be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.) Couldn't open "lightscribe-1.8.15.1.pkg". Out of curiosity I right-clicked on the file "lightscribe-1.8.15.1.pkg" and selected "Show Package Contents". Inside that folder I found another installer package labeled just "lightscribe.pkg". Double clicking on that successfully opened and installed the software which did in fact work with my bargain-basement LG Lightscribe drive and LaCie LightScribe Labeler software.

I applied the update and could not get it to print . Re-installed the software without this latest updated to get it working again. I am running OS 10.4.7 on a G5. I would skip this one.
