Mulberry Commentarypowerfull but not for windows users - Version: 4.0.8, 2/2/2008 12:00AM PST

I tried mulberry a few months ago looking for an eudora clone. It's really a powerfull client with a lot of interesting options and settings.

However the actual version is instable, heavy, and has a lot of bugs and annoyances. Very easy to crash.

I tried to read some suggestions from the discussion-list but the authors seems to be focused only on the Mac and Linux versions. I noticed a lot of questions with no answer (almost from windows users) and I realized what the authors mean when they say "the software is free, not open source".

At the moment they seems not interested to build-up this software.

Is's really a pity, it's really a good client.

"Mulberry itself is free, though its future is still cloudy in terms of whether development will advance or not..."

Seeing this statement I look tend to elsewhere - ahem.

Better to either open source it now or just be honest & say that you're giving it away until it gains market traction & then you'll start charging for it again...

I use Mulberry for occasional maintenance of my mailboxes. But every time you launch Mulberry, it automatically sets itself as the default email application, without asking.

This is RUDE and intrusive behavior. Unacceptable! Please change this, Cyrus.
