For a long time I've been unable to run any version of Vuescan beyond 8.1.27 with my Lide 80, and even that was sub-par. Got the latest driver per the link, with a little search action, then loaded and ran v8.5.1, on my g4 macmini and OS10.4.11, with nary a hiccup so to speak. I'd definitely give it 5 stars if I were using it for what it was actually designed and not just as a necessary intermediary for vuescan I guess. I'm definitely impressed nonetheless. Thanks Canon.
