Central Scrutinizer--2008
Try viJournal, it's more polished than Memoir, with a better GUI, and it's free. No need to blow $15 on another journal app.

My favorite journal app is MacJournal, back when it was free. After it was acquired by Mariner, it got a bit bloated for my tastes. MacJournal was already the perfect journal app, but Mariner just had to keep adding more STUFF. Of course Mariner also began charging big money for it, at which point it's no longer worth it.

Another freeware alternative is Journler. I'm still evaluating it, but so far it's very promising. There's a lot of healthy competition among journal apps, and the freeware is just as good as the gouge-ware.
