Product Description:
Atlantis is an attempt to create a Mac OS X native equivalent to the Windows 'SimpleMU' client. It supports features such as user-defined spawns, an advanced (but fairly easy-to-use) event system, SSL encryption, MCCP compression, and more. It is built around a reusable toolkit called 'Lemuria,' which provides for dynamic control of window layout and UI, and which was created for Atlantis.
Atlantis is presently in a freely available public beta for people interested in trying it out and providing bug reports; when it reaches 1.0.0, there will continue to be a free version but a $10 shareware version with certain premium features enabled will also be available.
What's new in this version:
- GENERAL: Complete internal reworking, major performance improvements.
- GENERAL: Traffic light view spaces properly under Tiger again.
- GENERAL: Atlantis no longer crashes on start on Panther. (See below.)
- PERL: Works on Panther again. THAT WAS PAINFUL. *cries*
- SCRIPT: Addition of AML color and bg tags, which take a six-character HTML hex color, or '-1' to reset to using the current colors from the world.

I used to use Rapscallion as my preferred mud, and there is still one small but great feature in that application that I would love to see in Atlantis. When you enter a command in Raps the command line retains that command, only its highlighted so you can easily type a different command without deleting or reuse the same command without typing. Would it be possible to implement this?

I would love to see a Windows version (for some of my other computers where I'm unfortunately still forced to use SimpleMU), but for now, the Mac version is the best MUD/MUX/MUSH client application I have ever seen and used. I <3 Atlantis!!!!
