Don't Feed Developer NoteWrong upload - Version: 1.0, 7/11/2006 10:12AM PST

Dear BlackBooker,

thanks for your comments!

First of all, Don't Feed is freeware. Unfortunately, we uploaded a wrong version. This will be fixed soon.

The 'Can't create database' issue is in fact a bug and will be fixed very soon. You are absolutely right, that the app shouldn't create the DB file in the current folder - at least no in typical cases.

Kind regards,

turingart

Don't Feed ReviewBuggy, also isn't freeware - Version: 1.0, 7/11/2006 08:51AM PST

I downloaded Don't Feed and when I try opening it from the disk image it tells me I don't have write permision, and that it can't create a database. This is because Don't Feed creates it's database in the same folder as the application, thus in this case the read only disk image, this will also fail in this way for non-admins when in the Applications folder.

Don't Feed is also not freeware it is shareware. How do I know this? Don't Feed says it is a demo and that rules don't work unless you buy a license, which makes it restricted shareware. No, I am not against shareware in any way but list it as such, and don't tell people that it is freeware when it isn't.

When searching for feeds it has two popups at the top of the window labled Language and Age, both the Language and Age popups show the same list of languages, so you can't choose your age.

I enabled some pre-entered feeds in the Feeds tabe in Don't Feed's preferences, they didn't show up in the main window. So in short I couldn't figure out how to add my own, or use the predefined feeds.
