Product Description:

This is a fix for the MacBook Pro whine issue using a StartupItem that loads a kernel extension which disables the C4 power mode on the CPU. It is packaged in a standard Mac OS X installer to make installation easy.

Do NOT install this on computers other than the first generation MacBook Pro.

This software is unsupported and comes with absolutely no warranty.

I LOVE THIS SOFTWARE. I installed it on my 17" macbook pro and the thing just shut up, it is silent now. and the batter is still totally fine.

And: It works perfectly with Mac os X Leopard as well. NICE!!!

This solution for whine is great -- I've never heard a sound from my MacBook Pro 17" after I installed this. Highly recommended if you've got that stupid whine!
