French Vocab ReviewBetter than flashcards - Version: 1.1.0, 8/1/2006 09:43AM PST

I like the game format with highest scores - it's more motivating to revise from than flashcards.

It's just a basic program now, but I hope the author chooses to develop it as a lot of people could benefit because users can easily make up their own custom vocab lists (as tab-delimited text files).

French Vocab ReviewNeeds a lot of work - Version: 1.0.0, 7/1/2006 08:21AM PST

  1. The icon is very boring. Looks like a big grey box in my Dock.
  2. Many of les mots français are way too easy. For example, le téléphone and le microphone. These should be eliminated. Make us work for our points.
  3. "OK" does not work for me. D'accord would be a better choice.

This is not a 1.0 version. It is a 0.5 version.

French Vocab ReviewGreat for the price, but lacks pronunciation assistance - Version: 1.0.0, 6/29/2006 08:02AM PST

Not a bad drill. The only issue that I have with it is that "voice" is nothing more than a pleasant American-accented voice saying "Okay" when you guess correctly among multiple choices, or a ZAP! sound that goes with "Nope" when you guess wrong. I'd surely like some pronunciation assistance. Maybe as the product evolves...?
