Product Description:

MP3 Rage is the definitive collection of tools for MP3 enthusiasts. You can search for and download thousands of MP3's from the Internet using the Napster(tm) music sharing system and the Gnutella file sharing system, edit ID3 tags, analyze MP3's and adjust their sound volume automatically to play at similar levels, export MP3 files to AIFF format for burning CD's, play MP3 files, catalog, organize, rename, find, and change thousands of MP3 files and their ID3 tags quickly and painlessly. It does all this with a clean, powerful, and easy-to-use interface.

What's new in this version:

  • Added support for searching for artist names, album names, and song titles directly from the ID3 tag information using the CDNOW web site. This allows you to easily get detailed music information, album cover artwork, and more
  • Added support for getting song lyrics directly from the ID3 tag information using the Lyric Tracker web site. This allows you to quickly lookup lyrics for adding to ID3 tags without having to type anything
  • Added support for long filenames (up to 255 characters) and long file paths (up to 255 characters in each segment and an unlimited number of segments) in the MP3 cataloger
  • Added option to "Convert Data to Tags" tool to skip files that do not appear to be MP3 files
  • Added support for dragging artwork directly from web sites into the Artwork Editor so artwork does not need to be saved to a file before adding it to an MP3 file. This simplifies adding artwork from web sites such as CDNOW
  • Improved checking of non-MP3 files to exclude file types that should never contain MP3 music data to avoid cases where files containing valid MPEG frame sync sequences were misinterpreted as valid MP3 files

MP3 Rage CommentaryCan it change all filenames by mp3-tags, too? - Version: 5.8.4, 1/15/2006 04:11PM PST

Can it change all filenames by mp3-tags, too? In the screenshots I can't find that options. iTunes is doing fine with editing my mp3 tags, but under the magic, my files really named like crap.

So can it automatically chnge all files in my folders to the Artist -title given by
mp3 tags?

Is it just me or does dragging and dropping a folder (or a file) into a player window not work in 10.4?

It did not seem to work in 5.8.2 either.
