Product Description:

MP3 Rage is the definitive collection of tools for MP3 enthusiasts. You can search for and download thousands of MP3's from the Internet using the Napster(tm) music sharing system and the Gnutella file sharing system, edit ID3 tags, analyze MP3's and adjust their sound volume automatically to play at similar levels, export MP3 files to AIFF format for burning CD's, play MP3 files, catalog, organize, rename, find, and change thousands of MP3 files and their ID3 tags quickly and painlessly. It does all this with a clean, powerful, and easy-to-use interface.

What's new in this version:

  • Added support for dynamic Gnutella host list gathering so a current list of active hosts is collected for easier connection to the Gnutella network
  • Added feature to Tag Changer to swap the Artist and Album to help fix tags that were incorrectly filled in
  • Changed lyrics handling to always save lyrics with Unix-style line endings for better cross-platform compatibility. This also provides support for correctly reading in files with lyrics with non-Mac line endings
  • Fixed problem where Window proxy icons could not be dropped onto the multi-file QuickEdit window
  • Fixed problem when reading involved people lists when only one tag frame out of the two potential tag frames was stored in the file
  • Fixed renaming problem with filename length truncation occurring before article removal, causing names to be truncated when they really didn't need to be
  • Fixed problem with artist names not being changed when converting names to tags if the filename was not selected to be converted
  • Added menu key equivalents for the Duplicate Finder and Track Numberer
  • Adjusted user interface to better comply with the Mac OS X user interface guidelines (and still look decent on Mac OS 9)
  • Removed Classic-only version to reduce download size. The standard release package now contains a version that runs on Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X

MP3 Rage CommentaryCan it change all filenames by mp3-tags, too? - Version: 5.8.4, 1/15/2006 04:11PM PST

Can it change all filenames by mp3-tags, too? In the screenshots I can't find that options. iTunes is doing fine with editing my mp3 tags, but under the magic, my files really named like crap.

So can it automatically chnge all files in my folders to the Artist -title given by
mp3 tags?

Is it just me or does dragging and dropping a folder (or a file) into a player window not work in 10.4?

It did not seem to work in 5.8.2 either.
