I have tried this now and then in the past, and this version was the first one that didn't ask me for info I could not give. Before it would ask for more then just user, domain and password for my Cisco VPN connection to my company. This time it worked flawlessly. The regular Cisco VPN client is so offensive to look at. It would be a bad UI design for even an OS9 app. Now the ugliness of my VPN client is hidden behind this nice menu bar item I can get to any time I want. I really like it and bought it. It's slick and works flawlessly every time. I think it is a bit expensive for what it does, but it makes me happy, and what more could software really do?

...about:

First, I don't find it aceptable that software built-in update mechanism want to install a new version that makes a former freewar into a shareware. This is close to scam if it doesn't inform the user about this change BEFORE installing the update.

Secondly, like for others commenting to me before, I only used this instead of the ugly Cisco frontend, so I can't justify it the shareware fee just for a GUI replacement. Maybe a 2.x "light" version without its own VPN enging for folks who have already installed Cisco VPN (for company usage reasons) for a little to no fee would be a good idea.

Until then, I will have to stick with version 1.0.7, or just with the Cisco client.
