FStream ReviewExcellent application - Version: 1.4.2, 1/17/2009 08:09PM PST

Super-good program for listening to radio streams. All of the necessary features, non of the uneccesary ones, and very good at connecting to multiple streams. If it could parse realaudio it would be perfect, but overall it's much better for radio than, say, VLC, which has an impossibly clunky media library and tends to crash.

FStream ReviewFStream - The way software should be - Version: 1.4.2, 10/13/2008 11:16PM PST

I just LOVE this app. It's small, both in size and memory footprint, is skinable, has just the right features, and works beautifully. In some ways, it reminds me of the way MP3 players were before iTunes. I haven't tried this yet, but it's not inconceivable that you could script this App with Applescript to have it record streams to disk on a schedule (you could launch those scripts from iCal, for instance). Wow! There are pay apps (Like Audio Hijack Pro) that do that.

... VLC is the best application for listening to web radio. To record radio streams, download RadioRecorder.
