Product Description:

The Vocal Reducer audio unit is designed to reduce the level of the main vocal track in a stereo music audio file. Vocal Reducer will reduce a good amount of the lead vocal track, however, due to stereo effects processing on the vocal track during recording, the vocal track cannot be removed completely. Vocal Reducer includes a Cocoa UI View and four factory presets designed for different musical genres. These include Jazz, Light Rock, Hard Rock, and Metal. Designed for Podcasters, and musicians looking to remove vocal track for learning guitar and keyboard parts.

voxReducer Troubleshooting ReportVery bad for Garage Band - Version: 1.0, 12/7/2006 05:16PM PST

I believe I've tried about fifteen times to correctly load the Cocoa View so that I could reduce the vocals. The only problem? It kept kicking Garage band out, or, more specifically, "Unexpectedly Quitting."

It is still failing to load properly, a newer version should be made to account for this.

voxReducer ReviewWorks well & is a great timesaver ..... - Version: 1.0, 6/13/2006 04:54PM PST

...if you have ever tried the process of splitting a stereo track into two mono ones; inverting the phase of one & mixing them back together to try and cancel vocals. I'm sure this plug-in is employing this process but does it instantly.

Remember, this is a reducer, not a remover. No plug-in can remove the vocal from a stereo track completely.
