Product Description:

Apple's iCal can help you share your schedule by publishing calendars to .Mac and WebDAV servers. Because .Mac is expensive and WebDAV can be hard to come by, Scalp is a tiny hack for iCal that allows calendars to be published to the Web via FTP and SFTP.

What's new in this version:

  • supports iCal 3.0.4
  • fixed a bug preventing the use of logins, passwords, and hostnames with "special" characters like @ (thanks, Boon Leng!)
  • removed FTP support (iCal's built-in support seems to work now)

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC

Additional Requirements:

  • iCal 3.0.2-3.0.4

Scalp ReviewGreat Product, will it update for OS 10.5? - Version: 0.3, 1/28/2008 12:00AM PST

This is the key anyone should use to share your calendar! I cannot glow enough about it. Now, will there be an update for OS 10.5? I just upgraded to Leopard and it quit working. Bummer. But you have GOT to get this and use it!

Scalp ReviewWorks As Described - Version: 0.3, 5/18/2007 05:57PM PST

It took a little fiddling with my FTP settings at first, but otherwise the installation process was rather easy (I didn't bother with the installer. Instead, I installed manually) and is working as described. This is a life saver, as I was updating my calendars manually before. Talk about a pain!

Hooray for Scalp!
