Product Description:

For Mac users who enjoy the simplicity of a typewriter, but live in the digital world. WriteRoom is a full screen, distraction free, writing environment. Unlike standard word processors that focus on features, WriteRoom is just about you and your text.

What's new in this version:

Added ability to have multiple WriteRooms open at the same time.
Added Import menu item to import text files into WriteRoom.
Added Service menu items to import text into WriteRoom.
Added Drag and drop support on WriteRooms dock icon to import text.
Added Export menu item to export you WriteRoom text to a plain text file.
Added WriteRoom now remembers cursor position and selected range.
Added Ability to blank multiple monitors at once, possible as a side effect of allowing mutlipe WriteRooms.
Fixed Spell check panel now works when WriteRoom is in full screen mode. I think this change should also fix dictation with iListen.

I have not used WriteRoom. But, if all it primarily does is clear all else for a full screen writing space, other word processing applications already do that. Mellel, for example, does. I think there are some others, too, but their names slip me.
