CoverScout ReviewVery unstable! Cannot run more than 5 minutes before crashing - Version: 3.2.1, 9/18/2009 10:57PM PST

All is said in the title!
The application seems great; the interface is very convenient and the integration with song genie is nice too.

But as soon as you request searching on a large set (more than... 10?) of albums the covers, it ends up crashing.
I've alrteady sent more than 20 crash reports to Equinux...

CoverScout ReviewLong time user - still very satisfied - Version: 3.1, 4/14/2009 12:08PM PST

I am a long time user of CoverScout (I already used v2) and I have to say that I am very happy with this piece of software. My iTunes library does not have one single black image. Even better, the album artwork is stored directly into the music file, and therefore gives much more flexibilty to the handling process.

What I think is extremely neat: the latest integration with equinux' SongGenie. SongGenie finds missing track information and corrects typos.

CoverScout and SongGenie together - never again without both of them.

I have tried CoverScout with minimal results several times over the past few years as the program evolved. In my experience, CoverScout still requires a lot of user interaction and rarely comes up with the correct album art.

On another note, the company that develops CoverScout has numerous interesting applications but they over charge for all their applications, especially considering that CoverScout & SongGenie don't work all that well. If CoverScout ever evolved into an application that did download the correct album art for missing albums I would be willing to pay $19.95 for it but never $39.95. I own a license for iSale & Stationary Pack and think both are top notch.
